ALAINE RELEASES NEW VIDEO FOR ‘JAH IS SO GOOD TO ME’

‘Jah Is So Good To Me’ is Alaine’s latest video single directed by Nisha Rebel.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLbR8nOLacY
The song was recorded on the Diamonds & Gold Riddim and released by DJ Frass Records.  This latest release joins the rotation of summer tracks from the songbird including ‘Walking on Air’ and ‘Lighters Up’ with I-Octane.
 
The number of female artistes with chart success in the international Jamaican music industry has exploded over the past ten years but few have had as many #1 hits as songwriter musician ALAINE. From her first  #1 in 2006, Ordinary Love, ALAINE continues to build bridges around the world with her music.
 
ALAINE recently made her second successful trip to East Africa, this time performing in Kampala, Uganda for a sold out Pepsi sponsored show along with Konshuns.  The Jamaicans rocked the Lugogo Cricket Oval as 45,000 lucky fans made it into the venue leaving another 10,000 patrons outside.

Magna Carta: Holy Grail Vinyl Release

In a follow-up to last week’s post, Jay-Z’s Magna Carta: Holy Grail continues to break new ground as to date, album have surpassed sales estimates, with industry sources suggesting it could sell between 450,000 to 500,000 copies by the end of the tracking week Sunday.   Guest collaborations on the album include Mrs. Carter aka Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean, Rick Ross and a combination of Nas, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Swizz Beatz, Pharrell & Timbaland on a track called BBC.

'Bambas Dois' launches July 1 in Sao Paulo

Brazilians Eduardo 'Bid' Bidlovski and Gustah Sola came to Jamaica last October with 13 Brazilian rhythms, on a mission to match this music with a wish list of top Jamaican performers. Luciano, Queen Ifrica, U-Roy, Sizzla, The Heptones, Tony Rebel, Ky-Mani Marley, Jesse Royal and poet Oku Onura are among artistes who have recorded tracks on this cross-cultural, collaborative album.

IRD Produces TV Special and Hosts Virtual Launch of New Singles, Websites and Events

Kingston, Jamaica -- International Reggae Day’s 24 hour online media festival is the virtual launch pad for several new singles including two from Bombrush Records featuring TOK and Tarrus Riley, one each from Sizzla and Jesse Royal from the Brazilian “Bambas Dois” project , re-releases from Crueshal Substance and more; Also launching on July 1 are the brand new Jamaican website kush-i.net and two New York internet radio shows, Real Talk and Reggae Calling.
