The Iration Ites - Vinyl Series, July 1 edition to feature legendary sound systems and DJs.

IRATION ITES - VINYL SERIES was created to preserve the essence of our music culture through actual vinyl playing, vinyl production and sales and the dancehall as it was intended.

Reviving a 'dead' industrY, it is also intended to teach the younger generation where the music came from, the indigenous organic nature of the sound and the reason the world has fallen in love with reggae music.

The legendary Tuff Gong Studios is expected to come alive July 1st with the vibrations of cool music, thanks to the Iration Ites -- Vinyl Series. The seventh instalment of the event, The Iration Ites -- Vinyl Series, INTERNATIONAL REGGAE DAY EDITION, will feature legendary sound systems and disc jockeys known to spin the original 'wheels of steel', with resident disc jockey Sammo T, Ivor 'The Entertainer' Smith, DJ DC, the one with the direct consciousness and Zion Train selectors, in charge of the nights' vibe.

The Uprising Roots, one of the promoters of the Iration Ites says this staging of Iration Ites - Vinyl Series will be a "very special event". "July 1st is very important as it is officially recognized as International Reggae Day and that's very important to our culture, life and history as a people. We are more than happy that we will be able to not only stage Iration Ites at Tuff Gong Studios, but that we will be able to create a unique experience for patrons because of this special day," remarked the group.

The vinyl series feature disc jockeys and sound systems that will be playing strictly from records. There are no CDs, no auto-tune, nothing like that allowed at Iration Ites - Vinyl Series. Real, true old-time spinning from some spectacular sounds and DJs and in the way records were meant to be enjoyed.
